Can't imagine not having my mom around. You can definitely see she enjoyed being a grandmother.

What a lovely tribute to your mom.
I meant to comment on this post earlier, but I just had to say that she was so beautiful and looked too young to be your mom (which is totally meant as a compliment to both of you)!

Congrats on making the [life is good] page!

Congrats on the [lig]! (though I think [tig] sounds better...)

Wow - thank you all for your kind and loving comments. :-) I have said it before and I will happily say it again: I am blessed to have met each one of you through Vox. We have a special thing goin' on here, ya know?!

It is always exciting and nice to make the [lig] or [cig] or [eig] and so on (I agree with Steve, life was simpler with just [tig]!!! )

To have this particular post highlighted, however, means the world to me. It made me feel that my mom was perhaps immortalized a bit today. She is no longer here, but a part of her story and essence is being commmunicated to people that never had the opportunity to meet her. That is pretty awesome.

Thank you, anonymous friend, for submitting this post to [lig] !!

Thanks for sharing this. It is good to remember our loved ones who have gone on.

From another in the cadre of recently motherless daughters, I wanted you to know how beautiful I found your post to be. Thank you for sharing your memories. :)
What a great post. Very touching. I lost my dad 15 months ago. He was the ultimate grandpa also. I can relate to your feelings.
